This Privacy Policy explains how Om — Gita, Mantra & Daily Aarti ("Om", "we", "us"), developed by Kushal Mittal, handles information when you use the Om mobile app (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

The short version: You don't create an account. Your reading progress, highlights, notes and kundli details stay on your device. Om has no server of its own. We use limited analytics to understand and improve the App and to measure our ads. We don't sell your personal data.

Information we handle

Reading & practice data (streak, bookmarks, highlights, notes, saved verses). Stored on your device.
Birth details you enter for kundli (name, date, time and place of birth). Used to compute your Vedic chart entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded. Place search uses Apple Maps to find coordinates.
Live darshan. Temple streams are played via YouTube's embedded player; YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply while a stream plays.
Usage & device information. We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to understand app usage and measure our advertising (app opens, screens used, subscription events). This may include device and event data and, only if you grant permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, your device's advertising identifier.
Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements and know whether your subscription is active. We never see your payment details.

How we use information

To provide your daily shloka, reading progress, notifications, kundli and darshan features.
To operate, secure and improve the App.
To measure and improve our marketing, and to manage your subscription.

Service providers

Apple — payments, subscriptions, notifications.
RevenueCat — subscription entitlement management.
Meta — app analytics and ad measurement.
YouTube (Google) — live darshan playback.

Your choices

Decline tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt (the App works fully either way).
Turn notifications off any time in iOS Settings.
Delete the App to remove all on-device data.
Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.

Children

The App is intended for users aged 13 and above and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
